Professional Car Polishing: Restore Shine, Enhance Protection

Polishing is more than just a cosmetic upgrade - it's a meticulous process that preserves your car’s color depth, rejuvenates the paintwork, and shields it from environmental damage. Surprisingly, even brand-new vehicles benefit from professional polishing—not just the body, but also the windshield, headlights, and other exterior components.

Take a closer look at your car’s paintwork, and you may notice a subtle orange peel effect - tiny surface irregularities that prevent a perfectly smooth finish. A professional hand polish can eliminate these imperfections, leaving the surface flawlessly sleek and brilliantly glossy.

Why Polishing Matters:

  • Removes minor scratches, uneven textures, and surface defects
  • Creates a smooth, mirror-like finish
  • Enhances the hydrophobic effect for better water repellency
  • Protects against corrosion and oxidation
  • Restores depth, shine, and brilliance

Types of Car Polishing:

  • Abrasive Polishing – Gently removes light scratches, scuffs, and oxidation while preserving the integrity of the paint. This technique restores the car’s original luster and smoothness.
  • Anti-Hologram Polishing – A non-abrasive method using synthetic or wax-based compounds to eliminate fine swirl marks and micro-scratches, enhancing the car’s finish while adding long-term protection.
  • Combined Polishing – Designed for vehicles with delicate, thin paint layers, such as Japanese models. This technique blends non-abrasive and fine-abrasive compounds, refining the surface without compromising the lacquer.

Professional polishing doesn’t just improve your car’s appearance - it extends the life of its paintwork, ensuring lasting beauty and protection. Experience expert detailing and see the difference for yourself!

Work stages

01

Car Wash

Deep cleaning of the vehicle’s exterior to remove tar, metal particles, and stubborn contaminants embedded in the paint.

02

Paintwork Inspection

Detailed Surface Inspection. Careful examination for scratches, chips, and other imperfections. Paint thickness measurement using a specialized gauge.

03

Sanding

Removal of deep imperfections and leveling of the paint surface.

04

Primary Polishing

Application of polishing compounds to eliminate minor defects and enhance the vehicle’s appearance. Various polishing pads and machines are used to achieve the best results. The process gradually transitions from more abrasive to finer polishing compounds for a flawless finish.

05

Final Polishing

Enhancing the paint’s smoothness and deep gloss. Fine abrasives are used to eliminate holograms and micro-imperfections. The finish is inspected under various lighting angles to ensure a flawless result.

06

Preparation for Protective Coating

Thorough degreasing to remove any polishing residue. Surface cleaning with specialized solutions to ensure maximum adhesion of the protective coating.

07

Application of Protective Coating

Selection of the optimal protection type - wax, ceramic coating, or liquid glass - based on the client’s preferences and the vehicle’s usage conditions. Careful application following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Multiple layers may be applied if needed to enhance durability and protective properties.

08

Final Inspection

A thorough check of the entire vehicle to ensure perfection. Glass and headlights are polished for a refined finish. Tires are cleaned and treated to enhance the overall appearance.

09

Client Consultation

Providing care recommendations for the treated vehicle. Explaining the properties and longevity of the applied protective coating. Answering client questions and showcasing the final results.

FAQs

01

What is the cost of car polishing in Dubai?

In Brooklands prices for Full Car Body Polishing start at 2350 AED, but the price depends on the type of polishing required, car model and car condition before polishing.

02

Will car polisihing damage my car's original paint?

No, professional car polishing will not damage your car’s original paint when performed correctly.

Modern vehicles have a clear coat layer above the base paint. Polishing works by carefully leveling microscopic imperfections within this clear coat. When done properly, polishing restores gloss and clarity without harming the paint structure.

03

What is the difference between Full Abrasive Polishing and Soft Polishing?

The main difference between Full Abrasive Polishing and Soft Polishing is the final result on the car body and the car condition before polishing.

Soft Polishing removes swirl marks and holograms and suitable for brand-new cars poorly polished in the dealership or show room. It will not remove the majority of scratches and chips.

Full Abrasive Polishing removes the majority of deep scratches and chips and gives a wow before/after result with the deep, wet, brand-new gloss.

04

How often do I need to polish my car?

For most vehicles, professional car polishing is recommended once every 1–2 years, depending on several factors:

Climate – cars driven daily in harsh environments accumulate defects faster. In Dubai: sand, construction dust and high-speed drives impact a lot.

Washing methods – improper washing can create swirl marks more quickly

Protection – ceramic coating or PPF can significantly reduce the need for polishing

For many cars, a light corrective polish every couple of years is enough to maintain a deep gloss and flawless finish, especially when PPF is applied.

05

Is polishing necessary before installing PPF?

Yes, polishing is strongly recommended before installing Paint Protection Film (PPF)

PPF protects the paint, but it also locks in the current condition of the surface.

Preparing the paint properly ensures that the PPF is applied on the cleanest and most perfect surface possible, delivering the best aesthetic and long-term result.

In Brooklands we believe, that proper preparation of car body for PPF is not only about the final result in terms of appearance, but also longevity of the film and it's look.
