What Is Localized Auto Painting?
Localized painting is a targeted repair method used to repaint specific parts of a vehicle that have minor chips, scratches, scuffs, or other damage. For example, a scratched door, hood, or bumper can be refinished without the need for a full-body repaint.
A common concern is whether the freshly painted section will stand out against the rest of the car’s body. The key to a seamless finish lies in precise color matching - not by eye, but using the vehicle’s original factory paint code. When combined with a professional painting process that follows every step meticulously, the repaired area will blend perfectly with the rest of the car.
Benefits of Localized Painting:
- No need to repaint the entire panel
- Preserves the original factory clear coat and paint thickness
- Faster turnaround time compared to full panel repainting
- Saves both time and money
This service offers a practical and cost-effective alternative to a full-body repaint. In most cases, there’s no need to go through the hassle of repainting the entire car just because of a single damaged or scratched panel. Localized painting is a quicker, more affordable solution that delivers outstanding aesthetic results.
Work stages

01
Part preparation
The goal of the first stage is to thoroughly clean the part of any dirt, grease, and foreign substances. To achieve this, the part is carefully washed, blown dry with a high-pressure air stream, and treated with a chemical degreaser.

02
Sanding and re-degreasing
At this stage, the part is treated with abrasives to correct any minor imperfections and achieve a perfectly smooth surface. Afterward, the part is degreased again and blown dry to remove any dust particles or abrasive materials.

03
Puttying
At this stage, the damaged surface is filled with putty. Depending on the nature and size of the damage, either a single layer or multiple layers of putty may be required.

04
Re-sanding and leveling
Once all layers of putty have fully dried, the part is treated with abrasives again to completely level the surface, and then it is blown dry.

05
Priming
The purpose of priming is to protect the surface of the part from corrosion and provide a base for the subsequent paint layers. Primer is usually applied in several coats, with each layer being applied only after the previous one has fully dried.

06
Final preparation for painting
After the final layer of primer has dried, the part is blown dry and degreased once more.

07
Painting
At this stage, the fully prepared part is finally painted. The painting is done in several layers (usually 2-3 coats). Afterward, the part is dried and clear-coated.
