What types of car film are available?

Paint Protection Film (PPF):

  • Highly durable, ensuring long-lasting protection.
  • Helps extend the life of your car’s paint

Colored PPF:

  • Provides both color change and protection
  • Thicker than vinyl wrap

Color Change Vinyl Wrap

  • A wide range of colors and finishes, including glossy, matte, satin, and carbon fiber.
  • The option to mix and match different colors and textures for a truly personalized look.

Good Paint Protection Film (PPF) is made of Polyurethane and is approximately 180 microns thick. The material is designed to protect a vehicle from stone chips, sandblasting damage, daily abrasions(like low quality car wash) and deep scratches that may occur during minor accidents. Due to its soft and porous structure, the impact of potential damage energy is distributed across a wider surface area, significantly reducing the risk of localized damage.

The film features a protective top layer that enhances gloss, provides hydrophobic properties, and accelerates the self-healing process of minor scratches.

PPF Options:

Glossy PPF is the most widely spread kind of PPF, that provides an invisible shield for

Matte/Stealth PPF installation requires additional time and precision to ensure full surface wrapping and prevent visible transitions between matte film and glossy paint. Matte/Stealth Film changes the appearance of the vehicle significantly, if your original paint gloss, so it’s suitable not only for protection, but also to refresh your car’s look.

Colored PPF is available and aside from wide range of colors, provides some textured options like carbon-fiber. In Brooklands we use colored PPF not for complete color change and combine it with vinyl to provide lasting and seamless wrapping of door jambs and curvy areas.

The average durability of PPF is approximately five years. However, the manufacturer’s warranty period begins from the date of material production rather than installation. Therefore, extended storage prior to application may affect the effective warranty duration.

Vinyl Films are highly flexible, allowing them to mold perfectly to every curve of your car, offering a look that’s as seamless and flawless as a factory paint job. Vinyl Film is thinner, than the PPF, so it provides almost zero protection for your paint, but due to it the wrap is more durable, less visible and looks better, when it comes to color change. In Brooklands the variety of vinyl films colors is 300+ and 30+ textures, we also provide custom film design and print the designs individually for your project.

On all range of Car Wrapping Services Brooklands provides 5 years of Warranty on the film and 1 year of warranty on the work.
